Balloon locations represent general areas through which Bama passed as she migrated from Mobile Bay Alabama to Florida in fall 2009.  Bama was originally tagged on 4 Sep 2009 in Delvan Bay in the Mobile-Tensaw Delta and is the first manatee ever tagged in Alabama waters.  This information is provided by DISL's Mobile Manatees Sighting Network for public education purposes only and is not suitable for rigorous scientific applications including, management or conservation purposes.
